PINSTRIPE

Named pinstripe after the very fine free-hand vertical lines which define the contours of the turned shape , evoking somehow pleating and stitching . These lamps use a narrower range of colours, greys, ochres and a wonderful air-mail shade of blue, married with the dark brown and blue black fine lines , offset sometimes with a dash of pure cadmium red or more free-hand painting or gold leaf sections. This treatment can work on a variety of shapes.
