An warm, elegant and  colourful lamp made from lime with a cotton reel motif, the lamp is painted with fine multi-coloured stripes and there is a warmth and golden tone to the lamp over all, there is an ochre reel    wound with charcoal thread. The base has broader and simpler bands of browns with orange and green accents.   There is a section of natural wood above the reel and then a section at the very top painted in a warm ochre, really lovely. This lamp will always hold interest as there are so many interesting juxtapositions of colours within it, great on a bedside table! This lamp is photographed with a 20cm plain linen shade, it would be worth considering one of my unique silk screen printed shades as well. A 23cm or 25cm shade would also be appropriate. I love this new green cable it does look fabulous with this lamp. In two of the photographs you will see where I have covered a small knot with real gold leaf.
