An elegant and colourful lamp made from lime in a new shape, slightly taller than my usual stripy lamp, the lamp is painted with bright and fine multi-coloured stripes with areas of minimal decoration breaking up the overall composition . This lamp will always hold interest as there are so many interesting juxtapositions of colours within it, great for contemplation on a bedside table! There is a lovely warmth to the colours in this lamp. This lamp is photographed with a 25cm printed linen shade, it would be worth considering one of my plain linen shades as well. A 25cm or 28cm shade would also be appropriate.

Lamp with Green Stripes 815

A simple and elegant lamp made from lime into a new form with a new curvaceous and much heavier base and a simple elegant upright, I have defined and isolated an area for the stripes which to my mind reminds me of a stripy sock on a leg. The stripy section is all the more attractive and captivating for it being isolated. This lamp was painted in December and I think was inspired by the mid winter season, stained glass windows and wintery colours, in my product photos I have paired it with a printed shade made at the same time, and having a similar vibe. The height and new form this lamp takes suits it to a larger shade and it is photographed with 25CM shade and could take larger for instance 28cm. I’ve wired it with a navy twisted cable.

Stripy Lamp 811

An elegant and colourful lamp made from lime with a cotton reel motif, the lamp is painted with bright and also fine multi-coloured stripes. There is a dusky pink reel wound with pale ballet pink thread. The base has broader and simpler bands of warm pinks with yellow and red accents. There is a section of natural wood above the reel and then a section at the very top painted in two tones and painted with fine lines reminiscent of an old fashioned dial or knob. This lamp will always hold interest as there are so many interesting juxtapositions of colours within it, great for contemplation on a bedside table! This lamp is photographed with a 20cm plain linen shade, it would be worth considering one of my unique silk screen printed shades as well. A 23cm or 25cm shade would also be appropriate.

An elegant and colourful lamp made from lime with a cotton reel motif, the lamp is painted with bright and also fine multi-coloured stripes, with areas of minimal fine spiralling lines breaking up other colourful areas, a bit like a rhythmical pattern descending the shaft of the lamp. There is a sandy yellow reel wound with pale ballet pink thread. The base has broader and simpler bands of greys with yellow and red accents. There is a section of natural wood above the reel and then a section at the very top painted in a pale cream with fine lines, quite lovely. This lamp will always hold interest as there are so many interesting juxtapositions of colours within it, great for contemplation on a bedside table! This lamp is photographed with a 20cm plain linen shade, it would be worth considering one of my unique silk screen printed shades as well. A 23cm or 25cm shade would also be appropriate.

There is a small orange bobbin wound with a thin line of navy thread. The base has broader and simpler bands of browns with yellow and red accents. There is a section of natural wood above the reel and then a section at the very top painted in two neutral tones with fine blue lines and little dots, really lovely.
