A colourful lamp made from lime with a cotton reel motif, the lamp is painted with a bright and fine multi-coloured stripes, the stripes go all the way down and onto an exquisite base with a beautiful simple decoration in simpler broader bands of yellows and greens, just lovely!. This lamp has an attractive bobbin painted with fine blue lines and is wound with a narrow band of navy thread.  There is a section of natural wood above this and then a section at the very top painted in  tones blue and brown and decorated with fine lines and hand painted geometrical patterns, a really lovely detail that I love to do.  On the base there were small knots that have been filled and then gilded with gold leaf.  This lamp will always hold interest as there are so many interesting juxtapositions of colours within it, great on a bedside table! This lamp is photographed with a 20cm plain linen shade, it would be worth considering one of my unique silk screen printed shades as well. A 23cm or 25cm shade would also be appropriate.
