A lovely summery and colourful lamp made from lime with a cotton reel motif, the lamp is painted with  very bright and also fine multi-coloured stripes, there are quite a lot of bright oranges and pinks together, the stripes go all the way down and onto an exquisite base with a beautiful simple decoration in simpler broader bands of red and orange, just lovely! This lamp has an attractive pale bobbin painted with chequered red lines and is wound with a narrow band of brown thread.  There is a section of natural wood above this and then a section at the very top painted in two sections a cream and a rusty ochre both painted with fine lines.    This lamp will always hold interest as there are so many interesting juxtapositions of colours within it, great on a bedside table! This lamp is photographed with a 20cm plain linen shade, it would be worth considering one of my unique silk screen printed shades as well. A 23cm or 25cm shade would also be appropriate.
