An elegant and  colourful lamp made from lime with a cotton reel motif, the lamp is painted with bright and also fine multi-coloured stripes, with areas of minimal fine lines breaking up other colourful areas, a bit like a repeat pattern, there are bold violets, yellows and oranges on this lamp.  There is a small orange bobbin wound with a thin line of navy thread. The base has broader and simpler bands of browns with yellow and red accents.   There is a section of natural wood above the reel and then a section at the very top painted in two neutral tones with fine blue lines and little dots, really lovely. This lamp will always hold interest as there are so many interesting juxtapositions of colours within it, great on a bedside table! This lamp is photographed with a 20cm plain linen shade, it would be worth considering one of my unique silk screen printed shades as well. A 23cm or 25cm shade would also be appropriate.
